Services for Bettie Countryman, 88, of Grand Saline, were held Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenneth Ishmael officiating. Interment followed in Mesquite City Cemetery, Mesquite.

Bettie Joyce Mixon Countryman passed away Oct. 8, 2023, at her home in Grand Saline. She was born May 7, 1935, in Mesquite, to John Henry and Lucy Elizabeth Austin Mixon.

The family received friends Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at the funeral home.
