Ben Don Jackson Age 89 passed away peacefully on January 17th, 2024, in Edgewood. He was born January 25, 1934, in VZCO to John F Jackson and Clara Bell Jackson.

Ben married the Love of his life Dorthy Faye Gaskey on July 20, 1957. Ben was employed by the City of Dallas Parks Dept for 18 years, Ben then went on and worked for Mesquite ISD for 29 years retiring in 2005. Ben was a Baptist by Faith and a member of Elwood Baptist church. Ben enjoyed making people laugh and always put others’ needs first. He took pleasure in woodworking and gardening.

Ben is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Pauline and Francis, four brothers Robert, Claude, Ray, and Charles Jackson. Wife Dorthy Jackson in 2014.

Ben is survived by his children, Amanda Jackson, Becky Mireles, Janet Kattner, Jeff and Randy Jackson along with a number of Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held by family members in a private setting.
