Allen Ray Dawson was born January 26, 1944, and passed away February 12, 2026. He was a resident of Canton all his life and was very well known throughout the community.

Allen served in the military, was a brick layer, worked at Lone Star Steel plant for many years, farmed land, and raised cattle.

He worked very hard all his life. Allen was an outstanding citizen and loved by many.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Weikel Dawson; Mother, Lottie Pittman Dawson; Father, Blanks Jefferson Dawson; one sister, Sally Dawson Hilliard and husband Dr Dan Hilliard; brothers, Ben Dawson, Perry Max Dawson; Harold Dawson and wife, Alyce Dawson; Ronald Dawson; Charles Dawson and wife, Wanda Dawson; and Jerry Dawson.

He is survived by sister-in-law, Selma Dawson, wife of Ronald Dawson; Ruth Dawson, wife of Perry Max Dawson; Susie Dawson, wife of Jerry Dawson; and nieces and nephews.
