Funeral services for Vickie Tylene Hamilton, 62, of Wills Point, were held 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home. Burial followed at Cana Cemetery.

Vickie Tylene Rodgers Hamilton was born on Aug. 19, 1959, in Dallas, to parents Billy Horace Rodgers and Margaret Elaine McDowell Rodgers. She was raised in Van Zandt County. Vickie married Steven Hamilton in Canton in 1989, and they made their home in Wills Point for the last thirty-five years. She was a certified nursing assistant before becoming disabled some time ago. Vickie was a great artist and enjoyed crafting, designing and sewing. She also loved to sing and to go fishing.

She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Rodgers, and brother, Johnny Rodgers.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Steven Hamilton of Wills Point, TX; mother, Margaret Rodgers of Grand Saline, TX; sons, Michael Denton and wife, Victoria of Wills Point, TX, Chad Cabaniss of Wills Point, TX, and Brian Cabaniss and wife, Ashley of Wills Point, TX; daughter, Nicole Adams and husband, Carl of Trinidad, TX; brothers, Billy Rodgers, Jr. and Bobby Joe Rodgers; sisters, Rita Wilson and husband, Larry, Frances Jones, Cathy Heddins and Diane Rodgers; brothers-in-law, Tony Hamilton of Wills Point, TX and Cornelius Hamilton of Wills Point, TX; grandchildren, Mikala Denton, Deshanna Denton and Melissa Nappier all of Wills Point, TX, Bailey, Braeden and Brennan Cabaniss of Edgewood, TX, Kira Meredith, Aiden Cabaniss and Shianne Cabaniss all of Wills Point, TX, Emilie Cabaniss of Wills Point, TX, and Peightyn Adams of Trinidad, TX; great grandchildren, Malaki Maxie and Callen Ward both of Wills Point, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
