For the second time this year, the VZC Commissioners Court has implemented a 30-day burn ban, effective immediately.

The unanimous decision was made during the regular meeting of the VZC Commissioners Court Feb. 11 following a recommendation by VZC Fire Marshal Kevin Palmer.

Under state law, while the commissioners’ court can implement the burn ban, only the fire marshal can end it.
