A memorial service Ronnie McKibben, 61, of Canton, was held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Robert Brown officiating. Mr. McKibben passed away at his home on Dec. 2, 2021. He was born Dec. 5, 1959, in Wills Point to Jimmy Dennis and Myra Nell Phillips McKibben.

Ronnie grew up in Garland and attended Garland High School. He was a carpenter for many years. Ronnie moved to Canton in 1993. A Baptist by faith, he lived his life with conviction and loved to help others. Ronnie was very dependable and a man of his word. He was a neat and orderly person who kept a clean house. Ronnie loved watching the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys play football. He enjoyed bowling and mowing not only his yard, but the yards of family members. Ronnie especially enjoyed gathering for Sunday dinner at Mamaw’s house. As a proud “PawPaw,” he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Mr. McKibben is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Myra McKibben; brother, Donnie McKibben and sister, Stacy Calhoun.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Chad and Christy McKibben of Edgewood; daughter, Kristi and Dyer Howard of Cushing; son, Daniel and Stephanie McKibben of Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Connor McKibben, Collon McKibben, Jaxon Howard, Miaya McKibben, Dylan McKibben, Samantha Nelson and Veronica Nelson; three great-grandchildren: Alex, Isaiah and Aria; sister, Karen and Maxie Whitworth; and two brothers, Phillip and Christy McKibben and Tommy and Jennifer McKibben. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Grant, Cody McKibben, Taylor McKibben, Trent Calhoun and Travis McKibben. Family received friends one hour prior to the service.
