Sylvia Marie Shawgo, 85, of Wills Point passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. She was born on March 20, 1939, in Smith Falls, Ontario Canada, to the late Lloyd and Mary Blatherwick.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dorothy Fowke; her brothers, Theodore and Mike Blatherwick; her nephew, Paul Blatherwick; her niece, Peggy Bell; and her husbands, Jack Shawgo and Coyle Goodall.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her nieces, Mary Patrick and Nancy Moor; her nephew, John Blatherwick; her sons, Ronnie (spouse Angie) and David Shawgo; her four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; her best friend, Ruth Bosley; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Sylvia found joy in reminiscing about her childhood in Canada, particularly her fond memories of growing up at a train station. She had a deep love for animals, enjoyed visiting the zoo, and was an avid reader. Sylvia also took pride in her work as a dedicated employee at Roddy Foreclosure Listing Service for many years.

As per her wishes, Sylvia will be laid to rest in Eldorado, Canada, beside her beloved father.

Her humor and spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
