Vicki Poston (Cook), aged 77, passed away on Nov. 13, 2024, in Dallas, after a short battle with cancer. Born on Feb. 25, 1947, in Dallas, Vicki was known for her generosity, kindness, and unwavering faith, always carrying a smile that would light up any room.

Vicki graduated from South Oak High School in 1965 and later earned her bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University in 1988. She dedicated her career to education, retiring in 2010 as a beloved school teacher at WPISD. Vicki was deeply involved in her community, participating in the Bear Makers of Van Zandt County and cherishing her time with family and friends.

A devout member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point, Vicki found great solace and community within her church. Her faith played a significant role in her life, evident in her daily actions and interactions with others. She shared her love and joy of Christ through teaching Sunday School classes, touching many lives with her dedication and warmth.

She leaves behind her son, Wesley Poston and his wife, Shari; daughter, Angie Maddox and her husband, Michael; sister, Carolyn Rigdon; and grandchildren, Carson Maddox, Tanner Maddox, Andrew Poston, and Joshua Poston. Sister-in-law, Marla Poston. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Poston.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Wills Point. Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the same location. Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point is assisting the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Vicki’s memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wills Point, Wills Point ISD Education Foundation, or the American Cancer Society. These contributions honor her lifelong commitment to faith, education, and community.
