A celebration of life for Linda Elaine Gressley, 78, of Edgewood, was held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Cheatham Memorial Methodist Church in Edgewood. Linda passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, in Mineola. She lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, and community member. She touched many hearts of all ages over the years while owning the Edgewood Florist and while working with children at the Edgewood schools but most of all, she loved her family and instilled strong values in her children. She will be missed and forever in our hearts.

Linda Elaine Dunklin was born on July 14, 1944, in Houston, to parents James Layfette Dunklin and Cora Inez Ward Dunklin. She was raised in Houston where she attended Channel View schools and in Dallas graduating from Texas High School. Linda met LeRoy James Gressley while working at Tom Thumb and they later married on June 7, 1963, in Dallas. She and LeRoy moved to Edgewood in 1972, to raise their family. Linda was of the Methodist faith and an active member for many years of the Cheatham Memorial Methodist Church in Edgewood. She enjoyed cooking for her family, reading, sewing, and crafting. Linda especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Layfette and Cora (Ward) Dunklin and brother, Gary Wayne Dunklin.

Linda is survived by her husband, Leroy James Gressley, of Edgewood; daughters, Kassandra Harris and husband, Bobby, of Wills Point, and Alynda Davis and husband, Greg, of Edgewood; son, Jason Gressley, of Edgewood; grandsons, Trey Harris of Comanche, OK; Bryce Davis of Fruitvale; Jacob Davis of Tacoma, WA, and Austin Harris of Wills Point; granddaughter, Callie Harris of Wills Point; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Murray; Mary Gaither; Donja Justice; Traci McNiel, and Tammi Rosas; brother, Charles Dunklin, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
