GS resident arrested on a VZC Grand Jury indictment

Sheri Raylynn Roach, 47, of Grand Saline was arrested Oct. 3 on a Van Zandt County Grand July indictment charging her with misapplication of fiduciary property, a State Jail Felony, according to information released by VZC Criminal District Attorney Tonda Curry.

Fiscal year 2026 budget approved by VZC Commissioners Court

State investigating death of inmate while In VZC Jail custody

davidb@vanzandtnews.com According to a seven- page Custodial Death Report on the website of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the State of Texas is investigating the death of a Wills Point man who died last month while in the custody of VZC Sheriff’s Department Deputies and Jail officials.
