September 10, 1942-August 25, 2025 Dorothy Erline Whitton, 82, of Canton passed from this earthly life on August 25, 2025, in Burleson. What she had known by faith for many years is now her reality.

The Wills Point Varsity Cross Country teams competed Aug. 28 in Midlothian. Both teams placed 3rd place with six medalists. Eduardo Gonzalez was the 4A and under Champion. Also medaling for the boys was Gio Benitez and Victor Torres. Zerena Martinez placed 2nd overall, with Abigail Rodriguez and Kynleigh Rice also snagging medals.

With a winning percentage of 89, Stefani Curtis is the winner of Football Contest No. 1 in the Van Zandt News.
