Fruitvale High School crowned its 2025 Homecoming Queen and King during special ceremonies Sept. 18. Camila Marques-Torres was named as the Homecoming Queen and Cayden Good was selected as the Homecoming King. ‘Bells Across America’ ceremony held on courthouse steps

davidb@vanzandtnews.com Following the Constitution Day ceremony held on the northside steps of the Van Zandt County Courthouse Sept. 17 by the Republican Club of VZC earlier in the day, the Neches River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) later in the afternoon held its ‘Bells Across America’ recognition of the special day.
Several were in attendance for the ‘Bells Across America’ ceremony Sept. 17 on the westside of the Van Zandt County Courthouse joined in to ring the bells at exactly 3 p.m. marking the time that the United States Constitution was signed 238 years ago on Constitution Day. She attended Canton ISD schools until she married and started her family with her husband, Kenneth Johnson.
