Visitors to the Van Oil Festival are invited to a special free event focusing on the unique history of Van. On Saturday, Oct.19, immediately after the Van Oil Festival Parade, Dwayne and Cathy Wheeler will lead a tour, by bicycle or car (participants’ choice), to view all eight historical markers in Van.

Funeral services for Ida May Pickens, 90, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
