Visitors to the Van Oil Festival are invited to a special free event focusing on the unique history of Van.

Funeral services for Ida May Pickens, 90, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Mr. James Ray Staggs, 80, passed away September 29, 2024, in Grand Saline.

April 9, 1946 – September 18, 2024 Fred Allan Warner was born on April 9, 1946, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Harold Kenneth Warner and Laura Mae Pilkington Warner and passed September 18, 2024.
