Van Lady Vandal basketball is proud to announce that 5’7” senior point guard Mikyla Bachert will be accepting a full scholarship from Cameron University. She will sign her National Letter of Intent with the Lawton, Oklahoma university during an early signing ceremony at VHS on Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

The 48th annual Edgewood Halloween Carnival, hosted by Edgewood ISD and the City of Edgewood, was recently held with a good crowd on hand. The theme of the carnival this year was ‘Haunted on the Highway.’

The Texas A&M Forest Service reminds Texans to be careful with activities that may cause a wildfire this hunting season. From 2017 to 2021, Texas A&M Forest Service responded to 3,682 wildfires burning 1.4 million acres.

The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office released the following arrest report from Oct. 16-Nov.
