Accident claims life of Canton ISD student

The hopes that any Van Zandt County football team might complete a perfect regular season officially came to an end last week as Grand Saline stormed back from an early deficit to hand Edgewood its first setback of the season. Elsewhere in Van Zandt County, Fruitvale celebrated homecoming night against Savoy, Van dominated chief rival Canton and Wills Point sat idle after five weeks of non-district play.
