Memorial services for Luciano John Becerra, 95, were held at Eubank Funeral Home Thursday, April 11.

Luciano was born on October 26, 1923, to Salvador Becerra and Fermina Miranda in Banning, California.

He grew up in the Banning, California area. He became a firefighter for the Forestry Service before he joined the Army during WW II.

He married his wife, Lily, and raised their family in Banning, California. He moved to Canton in 1996.

He loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks fan.

He enjoyed watching the birds around his birdfeeders, going for drives and eating out at restaurants. Olive Garden and Applebee’s were his favorites.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Fermina Becerra; son, Rick Becerra; and two grandsons, Dominic and Levi.

He is survived by his daughter, Cyndi Hudgins of Canton; sons, Larry and Bernadette Becerra of California, Gary Becerra of Florida, and Luciano “Curly” Becerra of California; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
