Services for Louise Coursey, 96, of Canton, were held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. Interment was in Holly Springs Cemetery in Martins Mill.

Mrs. Coursey passed away on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in Canton. Louise was born June 30, 1925, to James Alton and Gladsie Ruth Kirby Pearce.

Louise was a Christian by faith. She grew up in Edgewood and lived in Dallas for over 20 years before moving to Canton. She loved sewing, cooking, playing train, gardening and spending time outdoors. Louise really enjoyed getting together with her family.

Mrs. Coursey is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leon “Preacher” Coursey; son, Don Coursey; daughter, Judie Bradberry; grandson, Tommy McHenry; son-in-law, Randall McHenry; grandson-in-law, Jack R. Robinson; three brothers: Ray, Edward and R.A. Pearce and three sisters: Audrey Hindman, Rosie Reid and Faye Tidwell.

Louise is survived by her three daughters, Anita McHenry of Canton, Leveta Swanner of Canton, Glynda and Tom Bonacci of Hibbing, Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Karen Coursey of Canton; sister, Nell and Kenneth Farnsworth of Lindale; nine grandchildren, Dwayne and Alice Clements, Jeff and Jennifer Snowden, Roxane Roberson, Marcus Turner, Kevin and Rachel Turner, Matthew and Kimmie Coursey, Hunter and Shelby Coursey, Michael Hendricks and Jeremy Hendricks; 28 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dwayne, Jeff, Roxane, Marcus, Kevin, Matthew, Hunter, Michael and Jeremy.
