Funeral service for Lacolian “Colie” Tawater London, 92, of Fort Worth was held Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. She passed away on Oct. 28, 2019, in Tyler.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton the following Monday.
She was born and raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School before marrying Clycie Leon London on Dec. 31, 1943.
The two lived in California prior to settling in Fort Worth in 1947 where they would raise their two sons and happily live out the rest of their lives.
She was Baptist by faith, and she loved fishing, gardening, knitting and quilting. One of her quilts even won a blue ribbon at the Texas State Fair.
Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, all of whom will miss her wry smile and naughty chuckle. She was loved and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law: Larry London and his wife, Laura, and Donald London; grandchildren: Natalie London, Ryan London, and his wife, Heather, Donnie London, Elizabeth DeVilleneuve and her husband, Chris; great-grandchildren: Alora London and Jonathan and Vivian DeVilleneuve; her remaining brother, Cleo Tawater; niece, Betty Robinson, and her husband, Danny; and a great-niece, Tammy Robinson Gray, her husband, Greg, and their two children, Blaze and Mayleigh; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Helen Tawater; her husband, Clycie Leon London; her four brothers, Clarence, Cecil, Charlie and Butler; and her two sisters; Mary Lee and Georgie Mae.
