Services for, John Bryant Fincher RPLS#1708, are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. C.R. Chapman officiating.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

John passed away on Jan. 5, 2020, in Tyler.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1943, in Canton to Ray and Mary Fincher.

John was a registered land surveyor. He was also an artist, poet, and author. John designed the iconic First Monday statue and he has art commissioned at the Texas Capital building.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Jonathan Ray Fincher; great-grandchild, Grant Shoemake; and brother, Charles Ray Fincher.

John is survived by his wife, Sue Fincher of Canton; daughter, Susie and Rick Cerda of Canton; son, Bryant Keith and Missy Fincher of Canton; son, John Todd Finch-er R.P.L.S. and wife, Wendy, of Canton; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and Phillip Norrell.

Visitation was held at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton on Friday Jan. 10, 2020, from 6-8 p. m.
