Henry Head

Services for Henry Robert Head, 80, of the Wise Community, were held Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Don Teague and Kelvin Reed officiating.  Interment was in Haven of Memories.

He passed away at his home on Jan. 2, 2019.  He was born Feb. 12, 1938, in Mena, Ark. to Arthur Ervin and Anna Lee Beasley Head.  

He grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Mena High School.  After moving to Texas, he met the love of his life, Carol.  They were married June 7, 1958.  

He retired from Bishop Automotive with over 30 years of service.  He was a ‘jack of all trades.’  He was always busy working with his hands and could not sit still.  

He was a member of Roddy Baptist Church and loved to read his Bible.  He also enjoyed watching westerns.    

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Head; six brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Carol Head, of the Wise Community; three daughters and their spouses, Dena and Dennis Cormany of Richardson; Darla and Steven McNeeley of Mabank; and Delaine Head and Dawn Shults of Arlington; two granddaughters, Dara Cormany and Darcy Griffin and her husband, Nick; brother, Joe, and Melba Head of Mena, Ark.; brother-in-law, Jim Watt of Crandall; and sister-in-law, Margaret Head of Mena, Ark..

Pallbearers were Nick Griffin, Kasey Hall, Greg Watt, Dennis Cormany, Steve McNeeley and Jimmy Johnson.
