Funeral services for Danny Edward Davis, 71, of Wills Point, were held Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Mr. Russell Harris officiating. Interment followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
He passed away Monday afternoon, June 24, 2019, at Medical City in Plano.
He was born Oct. 3, 1947, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Ralph Edward Davis and Doris Ola Eskue Davis. He was raised in Lubbock and was a graduate of Lubbock High School in 1966.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Enterprise. After serving his country, he married Sue Elaine Dunahoo on Nov. 7, 1970, in Lubbock. They moved to Wills Point in 1980 and in 1983, he received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York.
He was formerly employed by Johnson and Johnson in Lubbock and Arlington and retired from Terrell State Hospital in 2008.
He loved watching all kinds of movies. He was a member of the Wills Point Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Doris Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Davis, of Wills Point; two daughters, Kristi Wiggins and husband, Roby, of Wills Point and Heather Alexander and husband, Kevin, of Wills Point; brother, Mike Davis and wife, Karin, of Wills Point; six grandchildren, Rhee Scott Wiggins, Rian Wiggins, Justin Lane Bennett, Megan Bennett, Lauren Bennett and Kody Alexander.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
Family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
