New Middle School To Be Dedicated
Dedication of the new Van Middle School is set for Sunday, August 24, at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Mike Moses, former Commissioner of Education and retired superintendent of Dallas Independent School District will be the dedication speaker and a tour for all district residents of the 74,000 square foot facility will conclude the dedication ceremony.
The new facility which has a state-of-the-art technology and security system will be home to grades four, five and six.
The school is designed for approximately 600 students with the core facilities designed for a capacity of 800 students. Approximately 500 students are expected to be enrolled in the 2008-2009 school year.
"The public is invited to attend and I encourage all residents to come and see this outstanding facility," said Van ISD Board of Trustees President Shelby Davidson.
