Scott Hoover

Services for Scott Hoover, 61, Sachse, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel, Wills Point.

Burial was in White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point.

Mr. Hoover died July 28, 2008, at his residence.

He was born September 26, 1946 in Bakersfield, Calif., to Gene David and Juanita Marguerite Farris Hoover. He grew up in California, graduating form Bakersfield High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He moved to Texas in 1976. He was employed by the city of University Park, retiring in 2005. He married Kathleen Bennight in 1993. He was a resident of Dallas and Garland prior to moving to Sachse vive years ago. He was of Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Hoover, Sachse; sons and daughter-in-law, Alan Wallace, Sachse, and Billy Don Jr. and Rebecca Louise Wallace, North Dallas; daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Wallace, Dallas, and Jeanetta and Brian Adams, Garland; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Apryl Whitten, Grand Prairie; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and Ron Apalatea, Oakhurst, Calif.; three grandchildren; special friends, Patricia and Kevin Airel, Sachse; and other relatives.

Pallbearers included Kevin Airel, Richard Butler, Bill Wallace Jr., Marc Wright Jr., Alan Wallace and Brian Adams.

Kevin Airel Jr. served as honorary pallbearer.
