Services for Vivian Maurine McMakin, 100, Grand Saline, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with Jacob Hudgins and Dwight Brimer officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.
Mrs. McMakin died July 22, 2008, in Canton.
She was born October 20, 1907 in Van Zandt County to Hiram Oziro and Carrie Padgett Gandy. She was a lifetime member of Grand Saline Church of Christ. She attended school in Sand Flat and Grand Saline. She retired from Morton Salt after 28 years of service. She was a resident of Grand Saline prior to moving to Carrollton in March.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" McMakin; grandchildren, Janet Lane Hill and Craig Alan Hill; and her parents.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Loy B. Hill, Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Hal and Dolores McMakin, Grand Saline; four grandchildren; four greater-grandchildren; sister, Imogene Thompson, Grand Saline; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Wayne Gandy, Don Mills, Scott Songer, Chris Songer, Danny Milan and Kyle Curry.
