Memorial services for Jack Tidwell, 70, Wills Point, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel, Wills Point with Rev. Don Myers officiating.
Mr. Tidwell died, May 6, 2008, in Terrell.
He was born March 9, 1938, in Flats to James Thomas Tidwell and Carrie Lee Thompson Tidwell. In 1957, he graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas. He married LaNelle Taylor in 1957. He was employed for 42 years at Sears, retiring in 1996. He later married Cherri Russell Nation in 1998. He lived most of his life in Wills Point where he was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a board member for South Tawakoni Water Supply Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, LaNelle Tidwell, in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Cherri Tidwell, Wills Point; daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Chester Richardson, Wills Point, Colette and Ben Benham, Mesquite, and Cathy and Daren Benton, Peaster; stepson, Ronnie Wayne Nation, Wills Point; step-daughters, Lynne Hood, and husband Stephen, Wills Point, and Laurie Medelle, and husband Chris, Edgewood; brother and sister-in-law, James and Dotty Tidwell, Duncanville; sister, Leata Schoonover, Dallas; and nine grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to funeral service beginning at 10 a. m.
