Stuart Andrew Heddins, 46, of Golden, passed into the presence of the Lord about 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Heddins home near Fruitvale following a lengthy illness.

Stuart was a son of Charles and Barbara (Daigle) Heddins, born on Sept. 16, 1968 in Rosario, Argentina and grew up in Sulphur, La. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1987 and married Crystal Trammell on July 11, 1987 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Sulphur, the church Stuart and his family attended. He enlisted in the Army that year and served three years while stationed at Fort Polk, La. and deploying to Panama for a short time.

A funeral service for Ruth King McLean Rushin, 83, of Mannford, Okla., was conducted May 2, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating.

Mrs. Rushin passed away April 22, 2015 at her residence in Mannford, Okla.

She was born on March 21, 1932, in Temple.

She married Junior Rushin in Dallas. He preceded her in death. 

She worked for Gate’s Rubber Co. for many years.

She is survived by son, James Rushin of Mansford, Okla.; daughters, Elizabeth Beaty and her husband Charles of Allen, Lana Dennis of Canton, Linda Pundt and her husband Steve of Dallas; grandchildren, Charlie Beaty, Andrew Beaty, Amber Gallegos, Michelle Merchant, Kenneth Dennis and Jerrid Rushin; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Beaty, Irelyn Beaty, Valentine Gallegos, Valor Gallegos, Candace Walton and Christopher Merchant.

Funeral services for Raymonell Aiman, 70, of Wills Point, were held Monday, May 4, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Mr. Russell Harris officiating.  Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.   

She passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at her residence in Wills Point.

Raymonell was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Dallas, the daughter of Raymond Atkins and Susie Proctor Atkins.  She was raised in Irving and graduated from Irving High School. 

Ray was a truck driver for Steven’s Transport for 20 years, Air System Components for 10 years and a dispatcher for B & V Towing in Terrell for seven years, retiring in 2012.

Larry Ray Thomas, of Eustace, passed away April 27, 2015.

He was born June 20, 1943, and raised in Canton. Larry grew up attending the First Baptist Church in Canton, and would later be baptized there.

Larry graduated from Canton High School in 1961. He married and had four children and continued to live in Canton. 

Larry moved to Mabank with his family in 1980. Larry attended the First Methodist Church in Mabank. He was a real estate salesman/broker and worked to develop tracts of land, starting at Westwood Beach off Lake Palestine in Palestine.  He developed lake properties, such as Golden Oaks and Autumn Acres, on Cedar Creek Lake and Lake Fort.  Larry fished Cedar Creek Lake and entered many fish tournaments, even winning some over the years.  He loved to fish with his family and friends and loved even more frying the fish for them.

Hudson Howard Bubar II died peacefully in his sleep on May 2, 2015, in Forney. 

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Dec. 30, 1926, Hudson began a 20-year career in the United States Navy, enlisting on Feb, 4, 1944. 

Hudson retired to the United States Fleet Reserve on the July 30, 1963, with the Rank of Chief Petty Officer/Radioman.  He proudly served aboard several ships, with final duty with the Commander in Chief, US Atlantic Fleet from Jan. 1961 to July 1963.

Hudson brought his family to reside in Cambridge, N.Y., which was the first home they ever had as a family.  Civilian jobs varied, from being a part of the IBM Development Team for OS3, to owning and operating Cambridge Taxi and returning to the water as chef aboard New York Harbor tugboats.

Funeral services for Harold Ray Foster, 77, of Wills Point, were held Friday, May 8, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Michael Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.   

He passed away Monday morning, May 4, 2015, in Wills Point. 

Ray was born Nov. 23, 1937, in Edgewood, the son of John Foster and Audrey Faye Reed Foster.  He was raised in Edgewood, where he attended public school.  In 1959, he married Shirley Wallace.  He lived in Edgewood prior to moving to Wills Point in 1968.  Ray retired from Texas Instruments, where he was an electrician.  He enjoyed farming, bulldozer work, NASCAR races and rebuilding tractors.  Ray attended the Edgewood Church of God.

Glenn Dean Armstrong, 64, of Alba, passed away April 30, 2015, at his home. 

Funeral service was held May 6, 2015, at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory.  Brother David Baker officiated. 

Interment followed in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Grand Saline.

Carlton Slay

Carlton Slay

Carlton Lee Slay, age 85, of Edgewood passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman.  He was born on Dec. 10, 1929 in Wolfe City to Oscar Vance and Marie Eoff Slay.

Mr. Slay was of the Baptist Faith, and served for ten years in the United States Marine Corps during WWII.  He was the owner of Carl’s Lawn and Landscaping service for 36 years in Riverside, Calif. and the Dallas and Plano area.    Carlton had a passion for motorcycles his entire life.  He enjoyed his motorcycle trips with his brother James and was especially fond of the Honda Goldwing. 

He is preceded in death by daughter, Sherry Albarado and son, Carl Slay.
