The Grand Saline Lady Indians picked up a pair of district wins over the past week, tightening their grip on a spot in this year's 3A UIL State Softball Playoffs.

Grand Saline began its week at home by putting up video game-like numbers in a 27-1 demolition of Kemp. The Lady Indians scored 18 runs in the first inning, and nine more in the second on 11 hits, nine walks and four Kemp fielding errors.

Offensive leaders for Grand Saline included Sarah Elliott going 3/3 with 2 RBI and four runs scored, Emma Elliott going 2/3 with a double, 6 RBI and three runs scored, and Mallory O'Donnell going 1/2 with a triple, 5 RBI and three runs scored.

Additionally, Brooklyn Bolin, Paytton Stanley, Cassidy Smith, Delana Meyer and Mckenzie Vernon all registered a hit and an RBI in the game.

Emma Elliott got the win for the Lady Indians, recording five strikeouts while allowing just one earned run over three innings.
