The Edgewood Bulldogs were among the most active local baseball teams over the Spring Break holiday, hitting the diamond five times during the I-20 Classic March 16-18 and again for non-district play against Corsicana March 21.

Edgewood finished the week with a 2-3-1 record, including wins over both Atlanta and Gladewater and a tie against the Van Vandals.

The Bulldogs began the week with play against Van March 16, allowing just two hits in a 3-3 tie with the Vandals.

Tye Elie finished with the no-decision for Edgewood, striking out six while allowing three runs in five innings on the mound.

Offensively, Trey Erwin accounted for both Edgewood hits by going 2/3 with an RBI. Turner Bannister added the other Bulldog RBI in the contest.

Trever Smith put the Bulldogs in the win column in their second game of the I-20 Classic, allowing no hits, no walks and no runs in a 8-0 Bulldog win over Atlanta.
