The Friends of the Van Zandt County Library held a volunteer appreciation brunch Monday, Dec. 12.  “The brunch is a small way to say thanks for all of the hard work and many hours that volunteers put into the library. Without the volunteers, the library would not be as successful as it is today,” said Susie Pulley, VZC Librarian.

Pulley also introduced guests Beverly and Carl Birdwell. Mrs. Birdwell is the daughter of the late Al Coleman, who was one of the original first members of the Advisory Board of the VZC Library.

“Al served off and on for over 20 years as an Advisory board member. He was also a big Lions Club member and always supported the Library with money through the Lions Club,” said Pulley

Guests enjoyed a homemade brunch while visiting with library staff and volunteers.
