Thirty-six libraries across North East Texas came to the Van Zandt County Library to attend a Texas State Library and Archives Commission training session on the TexShare Database programs.

The state library offers 69 free resources online to local accredited libraries so that they can offer these to their patrons. Some of the online resources available are: Legal Documents, Job and Career tests and resume builders, GED and test prep help, ESL classes, Crafts and Hobbies, Language Learning Software,

Small Engine Repair Guides, Genealogy, Home Improvement, American Indian and American West, K-College homework help and many others. Libraries from Van Zandt and surrounding counties attending included Rains County Library, Mineola Memorial Library, Grand Saline Public Library, Tri-County Library Mabank, Library at Cedar Creek Lake and Van Zandt County Library. Go to your local library and ask about this free online library available to all Texas residents with a library card, librarians said.
