Kennedy Box

Edgewood High School Junior Kennedy Box has been selected to serve on the 2016 State Meet UIL One-Act Play Contest Honor Crew.

The state meet will be held May 23 through 25 in Austin.

The OAP Honor Crew was started in 1977 in an effort to offer students a chance to experience the State Meet in a way that was normally only open to participants. A maximum of 40 students from over the state are selected. Each school may nominate 2 students. Nominations are open to both sophomores and juniors who have shown both excellence in academics and performance.

Kennedy will serve during the 1A-3A State Meet at Austin ISD's Performing Arts Center.

Her duties may include both front-of-the-house and backstage assignments. A student may do anything from handing out programs to running the fly system.
