Fruitvale FFA students have started their meat and cookie dough sales drive. This year the products will arrive in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas, organizers said.

The Martins Mill Booster Club’s Fifth Annual Golf Tournament will be Oct. 4 at Twin Lakes Golf Club.

The four-person scramble event will begin with registration at 12:30 p.m. and a shotgun start at 2 p.m.

Entry fee is $75 per person or $300 for a four-person team.

Grand Saline Homecoming Parade entries should be submitted to GSHS Principal Ricky LaPrade by Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The Homecoming parade will start at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at the old gym and end at the gazebo. That will be an early release day for GSISD students.

The Homecoming game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Indian Stadium against Hawkins.
