Memorial services for Larry Forsyth, 76, of Edgewood, were held Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Larry passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Tyler. Larry Dean Forsyth was born March 21, 1939, in Dallas to James Henry and Ruby Mae Hodges Forsyth. He grew up in the Dallas area where he graduated from high school. Larry married Barbara Quillan Feb. 23, 1982, in Rockwall. He was employed in auto parts sales and was known throughout the industry for his precision, knowledge and the fact that he never missed a day of work in 58 years. Larry retired in 2004, and he and Barbara moved to Edgewood to make their home four years ago. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Forsyth. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Forsyth of Edgewood; children, Barry Forsyth of Grand Prairie, Craig Forsyth and wife, Connie of Quitman, and Darla Hernandez and husband, Armondo of Forney; step-children, Janet Mosley of Van, Kristin Prater and husband, Charles of Edgewood and John Camper of Chandler; brothers, James Forsyth and wife, Carol of New Brausfels, Ronald Forsyth and wife, Alice of Lewisville, Danny Forsyth of Dallas, Jean Hardin of Mesquite, Sandra Martin of Dallas, Sue Hartman of Crandall and Karen King of Gastonia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
